The Story
Started after one
very bad rental experience.
In 2023, our co-founder Aryan rented a car from one of the major platform operators for a Spiti trip. The car that arrived was not the car he booked. The insurance documents were outdated. Customer support did not answer for six hours. He drove it anyway.
He came back and built SelfDriveGo with one principle: deliver exactly what you promise, or do not offer it. No bait-and-switch on vehicles. No last-minute surprises on permits. No support that vanishes when the customer is 400 km from Chandigarh.
Two years later, we have completed over 500+ trips, maintained a 4.9-star Google rating, and have not once sent a customer the wrong car. That last part matters to us more than anything.

No hidden charges, ever
The price you see includes insurance, inter-state permits, GPS, and doorstep delivery. We decided on day one that opaque pricing was the fastest way to lose trust. So we removed it entirely.

Vehicles built for these roads
Every car in our fleet is chosen specifically for Himalayan terrain. The Jimny exists because Spiti and Leh demand it. We do not rent vehicles that we would not take on these routes ourselves.

Support that actually responds
Every rental comes with 24/7 WhatsApp access to our team. Not a bot. Not a ticketing system. A real person who knows the route you are on and can help in under 5 minutes.

We do not use drivers
SelfDriveGo is for people who want to drive themselves. Your schedule, your pace, your stops. We just make sure the car is ready and the road is not a surprise.

Born in Chandigarh. Has driven the Manali–Leh highway seven times, Spiti four times. Knows which petrol pump closes early at Kaza.

Co-founder & Customer Experience
Built SelfDriveGo's booking system from scratch. Personally handles every new customer's first trip planning. Replies to WhatsApp at 1am - it's a habit now.

Fleet & Maintenance Lead
Responsible for every car being delivered in the condition we promise. Has rejected more vehicles than he has accepted. He is why the fleet stays clean.
