Pricing questions, answered
Are there really only two variable costs on top of the daily rate?
Yes, just two: the ₹8 per km overage charge if you exceed the daily limit, and any optional add-on such as the rooftop rack or a satellite communicator. Insurance, the permit, GPS and delivery within the tricity are already priced into every rate on this page, so nothing else gets added once your booking is confirmed.
Do I pay the security deposit and advance online, or at pickup?
There is no online payment on the website. A one day advance confirms your booking, and the ₹5,000 car or ₹2,000 bike deposit is collected separately, both handled directly with our team over WhatsApp or a call via UPI, bank transfer, or cash at delivery if that is easier for you.
What is the minimum and maximum rental period?
One day, meaning 24 hours, is the minimum booking. There is no maximum. Our longest single bookings run 21 days, usually for a full Leh circuit or a multi-city trip.
How does a late return affect the final bill shown here?
Up to 2 hours late costs nothing extra. Between 2 and 6 hours late adds half a day at that car’s listed rate. Beyond 6 hours adds a full extra day. Call ahead if you are delayed by traffic or a landslide and we will usually work with you.
How soon after I return the car is the deposit actually released?
Within 24 hours of the vehicle coming back, assuming the post-trip photos show no damage beyond normal wear. Most refunds process same-day if the car is returned in the morning.
Does taking a car to Spiti or Leh cost more than a Shimla trip?
The daily rate itself does not change with distance. What changes is which car you can book, since Spiti and Leh are 4x4 only routes on the Jimny, Thar, Hilux or Fortuner, and those sit higher on this price list than the Swift or Baleno. The other real cost driver is trip length, since Leh needs a minimum 10-day rental.
