Individual reviews are easy to cherry pick, so here are the themes that recur across the profile, each with the honest limitation attached. If you are comparing self drive car rental options in Chandigarh, the caveats are probably more useful to you than the praise.
The handover is documented
The most repeated comment is about the walkthrough. Every existing scratch, kerb rash and stone chip gets photographed with you standing there before the keys change hands. People who have argued about a pre existing dent with a rental company before tend to mention this first.
The catch: It adds ten or fifteen minutes at pickup. If you are in a hurry that feels slow, and we still will not skip it.
Someone actually replies on WhatsApp
Second most common theme. Messages at odd hours from Kaza, Losar and the Manali to Leh stretch get answered by a person who knows the route, not a scripted line. On a road where the next mechanic is four hours away, that is the part that matters.
The catch: Signal is the limit, not us. In Pin Valley and past Sarchu there is no network, so agree on check in points before you leave.
The car is clean and fuelled
Cars go out washed with a full tank, and you return it full. Nobody has to argue about a quarter tank at drop off because the reading is photographed at both ends.
The catch: We are a small fleet, so a specific car on a specific weekend can genuinely be gone. Book the popular ones early in season.
The 4x4s get used properly
The Jimny and Thar reviews come from Spiti and Ladakh trips rather than city driving, which is the point. Kunzum La, the Gata Loops, water crossings in Lahaul. These cars go out on the roads they were bought for.
The catch: That also means they come back with honest wear. A 4x4 that has done Spiti twice is not going to look showroom fresh.
