WHY THE JIMNY
SPITI DOESN'T
NEGOTIATE
We have sent customers to Spiti in SUVs that claimed to be "mountain-ready". Most made it. Some didn't, and a couple of those trips ended with a tow truck and a very expensive mechanic in Kaza. We don't gamble with a customer's safety or their week off, so when someone asks about a jimny on rent in Chandigarh for a Spiti or Leh itinerary, we point to exactly one car.
The Jimny is the only vehicle in our fleet we'd send to Spiti without hesitation. AllGrip Pro in 4L mode, 210mm ground clearance, a wheelbase short enough to navigate Chicham Bridge approaches - it's not flashy, it's functional in exactly the way a good spiti jimny rental needs to be, and that's the whole pitch.
If you're going to Kaza, Kibber, Pin Valley, or crossing Kunzum Pass, this is the only vehicle we recommend. Not the Creta, not a sedan, not a crossover with a brochure that mentions off-road capability. A jimny 4x4 self drive booking exists for exactly this route.
Most of our Jimny pickups start from Sector 22 or Sector 35 in Chandigarh, though delivery is free anywhere across the Tricity, including Mohali and Panchkula. It's a 5-speed manual only for now, so if you haven't driven a stick shift in a while, take it easy through city traffic before you reach the open NH5 stretch past Kalka. Once you clear Solan, the road opens up and the Jimny stops feeling like a compromise.
At ₹3,999 a day, this sits above the Baleno and Creta on price, and that is by design. HP and Ladakh permits come bundled with the weekly and monthly plans, fuel stations get sparse past Kaza so plan tank stops around Rekong Peo, and altitude means a slightly heavier foot on the clutch above 4,000 metres. Book four to five days ahead in peak season, from May through October, because this is the single most requested car in our fleet and dates near long weekends go first.

RENTING THE JIMNY
FROM CHANDIGARH
Jimny dates for Spiti season, June through October, get booked out first. If your travel window is even 70% confirmed, message us and we will hold the car for 24 hours while you finalise flights or leave dates.
Delivery is free anywhere in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula. See our Mohali delivery page if you are picking up from Phase 7 to 11 or Aerocity. Read through how booking works before you confirm, since documents need to clear before we hand over the keys.
Fuel policy is simple: same level in, same level out, or we settle the difference on return. Tolls and permit fees for check posts past Kaza are yours to pay directly. If you want the Jimny for closer to a month instead of a single trip, our monthly car rental rates cut the effective daily cost noticeably.

Do I need a special driving licence for the Jimny 4x4?
No special licence is required, just a valid Indian driving licence held for at least one year and a government photo ID. The Jimny is a 5-speed manual, so some comfort with a stick shift on hills helps once you are past Rampur.
Can I get the Jimny delivered in Mohali or Panchkula?
